Ann Troe

Ann Troe is a graphic designer in Omaha, Nebraska. She’s also a delightful ray of sunshine. Though we share a city, Ann and I (Phil here) have never met. But she’s the type of person you can tell is a ray of sunshine, though I’ve only felt her sunshine shining virtually through my computer screen.

Tell us a bit about yourself
FOR A LIVING: I am a self employed Graphic Designer / Illustrator. FOR FUN: I have an online store. My artwork is printed on gift items. The profit from the store goes to the Food Bank. I write a column for Omaha.net; I am “According to Right Brain”. I drive around Omaha, Nebraska in a red VW bug!

What’s your passion? What makes you tick?
I LOVE mashed potatoes and gravy. Chocolate is a very close second. As long as I can remember, I have been drawing and making things. I have enjoyed sports all my life, right now I golf 9-holes twice a week. I really love a good cause.

What’s your wildest dream for Project OpenBook?
Project Open Book is already taking off! It has so many wonderful contributors. I don’t just dream, I KNOW this project is / will help us all, including our focus, the girls in Nepal. We are in for quite a ride!
