Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m a wife, mother of three, homeschooler, violinist and violin teacher. Life may be crazy, but it’s never boring.

What’s your passion? What makes you tick?
I’m passionate about education—especially arts education. There is so much sharing, creating, and communicating to do, and I love bringing children into that “Great Conversation”. I also love making music—there’s nothing quite like playing in a symphony or being part of an opera production. And I love books—fairy tales, biographies, poetry, novels, picture books. I started violin lessons when I was 2 ½, but reading and writing have been important to me for as long as I can remember, too. I used to think all these things were competing for attention in my life, but now I’m trying to figure out how they work together.

What’s your wildest dream for Project OpenBook?
This project has the potential to reach so many people! I want to be blown away by how many ways a book can change a person’s life.

Where can people find out more about you?
